Out now: Armin Van Buuren – ‘Communication (Paul Oakenfold Full On Fluoro Mix)’
“Communication” is arguably one of the most iconic trance records ever released – hosting one of Armin’s most instantly recognisable riffs to date. A seminal trance classic that influenced a generation.
Originally released in 1999 on Dutch label Cyber Records, Armin “Communication”, as it was originally known, quickly gained worldwide notoriety with numerous re-releases appearing on the likes of AM:PM (UK), Insolent Tracks (Spain), BSR (Italy) and Dance Divison (Germany) in the year that followed.
Taking on the full artist name Armin van Buuren in 2007 – “Communication” recently saw a new lease of life on Armada’s own Armind imprint with a package of fresh remixes from John Askew, Coldware, James Dymond and Thomas Heredia.
Fastforward a couple of years and now Perfecto Records are very proud to present the awesome ‘Full On Fluoro Mix’ by label boss and trance stalwart Paul Oakenfold – who now puts his signature ‘Fluoro’ spin on this absolutely timeless classic.
Enjoy.

Armin Only Intense road movie episode 23: Amsterdam
A year has passed since the very first Armin Only Intense show, and now the journey has ended in the place where it all started: Amsterdam.
In this final episode of the Armin Only Intense Roadmovie, you’ll witness the run-up to a show in which all of the year’s experiences culminate into the final two epic performances in the Ziggo Dome. The entire crew experienced a whirlwind of emotions, but as the expression goes; all good things must come to an end.
“It feels right to end it at a peak, even though I could have done another year with this tour and amazing group of people. I will miss all of them.” – Armin
Thank you for watching the roadmovies and joining us at the shows. Without you Armin Only Intense wouldn’t exist. And finally, remember; “Whatever you do, do it Intense!”
Armin van Buuren nears One Direction – has second most streamed artist playlist on Spotify
Today Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance Spotify Playlist outstripped every other artist playlist on the planet except one, crossing the 200,000 followers mark. It’s a feat that’s only been beaten by one other artist, pop sensation One Direction. The difference isn’t that much either, with One Direction’s Spotify playlist having around 235,000 followers as of this writing.
2014 has seen many firsts for Armin, who received a 7x platinum certification for ‘This Is What It Feels Like’, was nominated for a Grammy, and crossed 1 million total followers on his Spotify channel (already 1.2 million now). In addition, he finished his world tour for ‘Armin Only: Intense’, released ‘Armin Anthems: Ultimate Singles Collected’, regained his top 3 spot in the DJ Mag poll and was nominated for a Sirius XM ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.
As one of the first DJs to fully embrace the platform both with his own radio show and the releases from his record label, Armada Music, it seems that the fans have responded in droves to the effort.

Final Armin Only Intense show in sold-out Ziggodome Amsterdam
Last weekend, Armin van Buuren and his crew concluded the Armin Only Intense World Tour with a sold out show in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. After visiting 5 different continents, the biggest project Armin and his team ever worked on has come to an end. The tour included destinations such as St. Petersburg, Toronto, Mexico City, Sidney and Johannesburg. Just over a year ago, Armin Only Intense, the biggest DJ solo world tour, started it’s journey in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Since then more than 500,000 fans worldwide enjoyed the show.
Armin van Buuren shares the following words about this experience:
“This is how it must feel when you’re in a band that’s breaking up. I will really miss this crew and the artists. From the very first try-outs in Den Bosch in the fall of 2013 to now, I think the show only got better and better as everybody got more and more used to their own parts in the show. Working with people from the world of theater was a very new thing for most of us. They didn’t really know the dance music world, and we didn’t really know their world either. That was one of the reasons why this tour was so special to me. But where one door closes, another one opens. I’m already working on a new album, and I hope to come back with a new Armin Only tour soon. I want to thank all visitors and fans for making this show possible. And remember, whatever you do, do it Intense!”
Armin Only Intense consisted of a crew of 30 people per show that took around 2,000 flights in one year. The unprecedented scale of the production is also reflected in the following facts and figures: 388 moving lights, 67 strobe lights, 20,000 Ping Pong balloons, a video production period of 3 months with 11 people, 3 hours of pre-programmed light show patterns on time code and 270 fully custom freestyle video clips.
Road Movie
The entire world tour has been covered via weekly episodes of the road movie on the Armin Only website which was made possible by KLM and Philips.
